The Statutes are just about done with their final edit in French. We are having a small debate over whether the French version should indicate 'le ou la' for each person mentioned or whether a general disclaimer statement indicating that the masculine stands for both would be preferable. It looks as if the consensus decision is leaning towards having the disclaimer and masculine for the French version but having 'her or him' in the English version. Expert advice is being sought since we would like to reflect standard or best practice in our Statutes (especially considering the subject matter of our studies), but we will go with the consensus opinion of course! The final version should be available fairly soon.
