Election results - Congratulations Audrey and Gerardo!

Dear All,

Fifty persons have voted: your new ADHSA President is AUDREY, and the Student Affairs Officer is GERARDO.

Congratulations to both!

An employee of the Uni-Mail library, whose name and phone number have been suppressed here for reasons of privacy, was the control for the public tallying of the elections, which was done by EW. If you have questions about this, please email the Association's email address.

What we did was this:

1. I printed the lists of all the class members for the 07-08 year and the 08-09 year.
2. I went through all of the email votes, and crossed off the voter's name from the voter list, then tallied that person's votes on a slip of paper. I actually did this sitting at the librarian's desk, on the librarian's computer, with X right there which was actually even more public than I was thinking.
3. Then I opened the sealed envelope that contained (a) the votes done on paper in person at the meeting, and (b) the list of persons who voted in person.
4. X read off all the names from the in-person voting list, and I crossed them off the voter lists. We made sure no one had voted twice (as in, no one voted both by email, and by paper in-person vote).
5. Then we tallied the votes from the paper in-person votes onto the slip of paper with the vote tally.
6. Then we counted the votes together and verified that the winners were Audrey and Gerardo.

I hope this process is satisfactory so that everyone can trust the results.
