Report on meeting of 3 Dec 2008

Good news- we drafted the remaining articles at the meeting last night! We had a really productive meeting of dedicated drafters! Thanks again to Audrey for translating and taking minutes. We did all the board positions plus a few other articles. It was a really good session in that we had a lot of active input from everyone there and the results are really a group effort.

We got stuck on trying to find a translation for "institutional memory" in French, which apparently doesn't exist. And Article 12 on voting in the General Assembly was posing some difficulties, the challenge being to balance the need to have democratic email voting, on one hand, with the fact that, on the other hand, some things might need to be debated and then voted on in person at the General Assembly (making it difficult to have email voting for each matter) and also a wish to give more weight to the votes of persons actually present. BUT we have come up with draft articles which will be posted here as soon as possible.
