Round II of elections underway

Dear All,

The second round of elections is underway under the leadership of the new President and SAO. As a reminder, the 3 positions that are now being filled are (1) Secretary, (2) Treasurer and (3) External and Academic Affairs Officer ("EAAO"). A couple of people have made declarations, so far, for the Secretary and EAAO positions. The deadline that's been set for declaring one's intention to run is next Monday at midnight.

It would be great of more people threw their hats into the ring, including for the position of Treasurer. Also, it would be great if the people who ran for President and SAO who don't as of now hold board positions could also be persuaded to run for something, since they were all extremely valuable to the Statute drafting process, and have already showed commitment, dedication, persistence, etc. Plus, there were several other persons who showed up at the drafting meetings, who had really constructive comments, and who were also quite dedicated to the process or insightful, who would be great as well. You know who you are! However, some persuasion (no coercion) may be needed to get these persons with these valuable skills and traits to run. The more the merrier.

How can you help? Either by running for a position if you are eligible, or by nominating someone who would do a good job. Declarations and nominations can be sent to the email distribution list for members.
