Consultation question no. 2: Functions that can be institutionalised

The second question for students is, what important representative functions could or should be institutionalised in the form of positions on the Association's Executive Committee? Past experience you have working within other universities' student associations would be especially informative. Please feel free to write comments to this question, or to email the Committee at adh.etudiants@gmail.com. Thank you.

I think this question is possible to answer when we know what we are going to work with. I was a President of student Association in my former university will try to give from own experience. These are just ideas which you can discuss.
Of course we should have President, which ideally should represent ADHSA in the board or Council. What kind of positions should we have in the Executive Committee? We may have a position of Vice President. Than maybe someone Resonsible for ongoing work with University professors/assistants/staff let`s call internal affairs. If we are going to organise something like conference etc. than this could be as international affairs. (Don`t judge the wording please, I just want to bring the ideas). Some group of people who can asnwer to the questions of students and raise them in the committee (from current students) and maybe answer to the questions of people who want to apply to the programme (e.g. I recieved many questions in facebook about programme, idea to open facebook group where people can raise questions and group can answer). Well I want to add more just want to see what are your ideas.

Hi Aram,

Thanks for those comments also. In the meetings so far mention has been made of a President, one or more Vice-Presidents responsible for various functions. Your 'internal affairs' position sounds like a kind of M.A.S. programme liaison officer, or something like this. It's a good idea to have someone responsible for communications - maybe this would be like a communications officer/VP/or whatever you want to call it.

It also seems helpful to think about some of these positions in terms of what would be good experience for working at NGOs or international organisations... So maybe that will help our brainstorming. Thanks, Aram, looking forward to more ideas!
